Demi Lovato Joins Grupo Firme for ‘Chula’ Debut in Austin on La Última Peda Tour 2024

The performers shocked the audience on Friday night by introducing their vivacious, flirty hit.

Grupo Firme

Grupo Firme brought surprise guest Demi Lovato to the Austin show of La Última Peda Tour, making it an amazing night that featured the live premiere of “Chula.”

Friday night (Aug. 2), Lovato made her stage debut with Grupo Firme at their arena event at the Moody Centre in the Texas capital, to thunderous applause and yells from the audience. The performers immediately got into their flirty, high-energy collaboration, a hit song in Spanish and English.

During the chorus, she and Firme’s Eduin Caz switched lines, electrifying the audience as they danced to the beat of their hit new song in unison.

CHULA

They gave each other a tender hug to round off their unexpected “Chula” performance on Friday, which had included a light-hearted vocal duet.

The new song, which has an official release date of August 15, comes as Mexican music is still thriving in the Latin music industry.

In a Miami interview conducted last month, Firme’s Eduin Caz told Billboard, “Demi Lovato is an artist whom we’ve admired since we were kids.” The discussion then shifted to the group’s collaboration with the pop diva in the weeks leading up to its release. “We used to watch her on TV.

After a fan requested new music earlier this week, Lovato teased the song on social media. She cited the song’s lyrics as the description for the photo, saying, “Say you’re ready but I bet you not.”

Firme, which was rumored to be breaking up in 2023 after Caz declared he was retiring from music, has made huge strides with the release of this new single. Halfway through the group’s La Última Peda tour, he withdrew the decision earlier this year and rejoined them. Through early November, the band will still be making appearances in cities like Los Angeles, San Jose, and Las Vegas.
